So why do I call it $55.00 BEEF stew? I put $40.00 worth of meat in my BEEF stew. The remaining ingredients cost $15.00. I'm picky about my beef so I only buy tender meat. I then cook the meat in a slow cooker until it is done before I prepare the rest of the stew. The meat practically dissolves in your mouth like butter. The seasonings go through the meat and all through the vegetables. When it is cold outside, YOU CAN'T BEAT MY BEEF STEW!!!
