The 90s sampled a lot of music from the 70s and early 80s.

It was bc of those samples and covers I gained an appreciation for that music.

That's why I chose the funk era.

Yo, what is up, Family. For me and my crew, everything began in the 80s with the Sugar Hill Gang, Rappers Delight. Add to that Run DMC and LL Cool Jay and finally The Beastie Boys and you could throw a party every weekend - like for real

Born in 81 but 70s and 80s. To me everybody kind of transitioned at the same time. It's like in the 80's a lot them figured out how to handle their trip and not just be a passenger, but able to construct a tour and take you on one. This happened because were depressed and still going through it as whole--> Soul/mowtow era 1960s-1970s
