Thank you for sharing this article. This isn't new in the context of birth rates around the world. Especially when it comes to Italy. One of the main reasons why Italy is having its issues when it comes to birth rates and I understand Elon musk's point of view even though we have a vastness of disagreements between each other, he is right about the birth rates in Italy. What are the main problems in Italy is that they have a harsh stance when it comes to immigration going into the country. For example even when it comes to Refugee status there is a policy most countries when it comes to refugees Going to the Country in order to become full citizens in that country. When it comes to refugees Italy tends to frown upon these ideas of refugees coming into their country. It's very warranted of course but when it transfers towards immigration of legal aspects when it comes to going to Italy as a full-fledged citizen there are problems even with people of color. Black people for example when it comes to Italy's policies are incredibly frowned upon and Incredibly suppressed in that country. Even children that are born in Italy that are from refugees normally most countries would give full citizenship to that child when they are born for hence the black population. And I understand that some people may find this very triggering and offensive but based on international law. When it comes to Italy there are always ways around that. The other reason is Italy's Obsession of cultural relevance in their country and when it comes to immigrants being in that country they do not find them as Italian enough. That causes strife and also causes division in that country. All of these combined into one massive catalyst. A lack of immigration going into the country pushes the country in a situation where there is a low birth rate and when there's a low birth rate nobody's able to replenish the jobs that are needed to either help say the elderly the healthcare system or any form of civil or private jobs in that country sustain its economy. There are many other countries that have the exact same problem for example Japan with its birth rate as well. Again there are many different reasons why a country loses birth rate you have to look at the scientific basis of why a country loses its birth rate and trust me the data is out there.
