  • Black Families Join Human Rights Groups To Ask The UN To Investigate The US

I think this video is in the right direction. Should the U.S. be investigated by the U.N. for Human rights abuses on the black community by police injustice? I think this should be pursued. This might not make it in the U.N. but it does send a very big message no nation is above the law.

    S/o to Phil

However, just a bit of study on the UN leadership & influential powers, as well as international criminal court cases will show without a shadow of a doubt that the US is most definitely above the law.
The Bush Administration got America indicted by the ICC for war crimes and not a single effort has been made to arrest any American "officials" or put sanctions on the nation.
The UN was organized by europeans with the US eventually situated as the global enforcer of euro policy(bullying) against nations with less military capability.
so while i respect all Black Folks who put up a resistance to imperialism, lack of education or an unwillingness to accept the realities of the political climate will continue to lead to "movements" that are destined to fail from inception.
America is above the law for the same reason murderous cops are above the law. Those in power have to provide protections for the mercenaries & "patriots" willing to kill and die for them.
The efforts of the people involved in this event would be better served working directly with the people most at risk of state-sanctioned violence and organizing them to arm themselves with Education, Training, Resources, & Weapons.
Enough asking white folks to chastise other white folks on the behalf of non-whites
Its nonsense and it NEVER earns the respect of any other nations.
    Not even the Black Nation

    My opinion

An international inquiry was already accomplished, and deemed the US was indeed guilty of crimes against humanity.

Unfortunately as Baba Ras mentioned above, nothing will come of this inquiry. The US and other nations have been operating above and beyond the reaches of law for an extremely long time, so I doubt any form of punishment will develop from this study. When the two highest members of our government (Pres and VP) both deny America's racist identity, I doubt any other nations will look beyond the veil of corrupt policing.

I agree with Phillip Scott. This would only help by publicly shaming America.

Thank you everybody for putting out your input on this topic. I absolutely agree with everybody, as much as I would like to see this happen, and have Justice for those black communities that have been oppressed for years, and also having the higher courts to deal with it in the UN. Overall Phil is correct, as much as we can believe the UN would help with the accountability, the corruption is very very high in the U.N. . I'm aware civil rights activist have put this across the UN before in the past.Having the public shaming might work to Force social change. I still wish there was a way to convince the International Community that it's worth the risk to show the accountability into the United States policies with the black community. I guess only time will tell.

Just remember that its not JUST white people who hate Black people, worldwide. Black people are our own friends, no one else is willing to collectively help. We can't even convince ourselves to work to fix the situation collectively.
