It is a miracle he serviced. My father was in the Navy and he told me about how when sailors fell off the ship they didn't look very long bc they could be swept under the boat by the propellers

My brother and sister were born in a Naval hospital in VA.

I meet a lot of people who have been stationed here. My father never moved back to his home state

Thank God for government jobs. Helped my family secure an upper middle class life.

What part of VA were you born

From what I hear, the quality of living for blacks in the DMV is very good due to government jobs. Too bad they don't have the same thing out here.

Immigrants and their offspring closed the door on us.

Nepotism and favoritism locked us right off. I really hope CA passes the reparations bill. It's the least they can do

Just living there is enough. The prices alone

Exactly. The cost of living, the racism. I think that the racism got a little better ever since George Floyd, and COVID. I believe that COVID humbled many Asians. It's one thing that I know, that before COVID, the racism from Asians out here was out of control. Not to mention other groups as well.
