  • Are Darkskinned Black Men Seen As Lame By The Black Community

Sometimes I think darkskinned black men are seen as lame by the black community unless ur a super street hardcore dude....

If ur a darkskinned dude who's not super aggressive other blacks take it as u being soft/weak

Some black ppl even will treat u like a stupid dufus because ur a darkskinned dude who's not super street

ANd black ppl automatically assume u don't get women when ur darkskinned
and when ur a darkskinned dude who's not super street/aggressive black ppl judge everything u do so critically Darkskinned.mp3

Colorism affects BM too but it's downplayed. It's what I automatically think when I see a DSBM when he dates out.

THese guys think by watering down their gene pool. It will give their child a better chance but those children adopt those same colorist ways as them
BUt I highly disagree that other races don't look down at DSBM. They believe the stereotypes too

There's a reason why Barack Obama got to be president before a DSBM.

      Yes to the colorism comment^

DSBM in general are fighting stereotypes on all fronts...within the community and out. We are simply not allowed to be anything other than what society expects of us. ShipwillSail mentioned several good points such as not being hyper aggressive or masculine, being too laid back or just the average joe, being too nice. Its like something must be wrong with you if you don't fit into those molds.

Being born into this world with dark skin is to be blessed, but the color of our skin is only the surface of the greatness inside you. To my DSBM do not allow this world to put you in a box. Find your light and shine on. Shalom.
