The Super Bantu - To the contrary, if Negroes actually read the Bible and took heed to what it says, we would have a firm and unparalleled moral, spiritual, cultural, historical and economic base. The lessons of history are very important to the development and success of future generations. Although not its main focus, the Bible is a highly respected historical reference, and much treasured artifact. Faith and hope are extremely vital to human character development. The Bible provides plenty of basis for that, as well as unparalleled wisdom, principles on how to self govern, healthy diet, civil and moral law, being self-sustaining as a nation economically ("group economics") etc. I will leave a few sources, here for those who may have interest.

Here is one grassroots organization that puts these Biblical principles to work in the form of community outreach, not to spread "religious dogma", but to promote proper education (re: the Bible, so called African-American history, national identity, etc.), effective spirituality, cultural autonomy, group economics, etc. among so-called African-Americans.

We have been taught so many lies, half-truths, about who we are and where we come from. And a proper understanding of one's Identity (culturally, spiritually, historically, morally, economically, etc.) is central to one's existence, beyond just the basic needs. We don't need to dump the Bible at all. We need to unlearn, and re-learn, with the Bible at the center of the curriculum.

That excuse many of us use that the so-called White man wrote the Bible, needs to be thrown out the window too. The version of the Bible we have today (though it has been edited by the Protestant Church, who removed 14 books) is attributed to the original version published in 1611 at the behest of King James I of England and 6th of Scotland....who was a Jacobite/"Negro"and was opposed to the Roman Catholic Doctrine/Theology and Practices of the Papacy, much of which is unscriptural and rooted in idolatry.

It's interesting you cite the "Bantu" in your name. Have you heard of the "Bantu Expansion" and it's connection to the migration/diaspora of the ancient Israelites (people of the Bible) out of the land of Israel and into the Sudan, Congo, etc.?

Here's another historical work, that talks about the Israelites in Europe who ruled with the Moors during the 700 year occupation of the Moors in Spain and Portugal, and what the Israelites were able to accomplish along with the Moors, by keeping many of the principles of their culture found in the Law of Moses (Torah), even though they were exiles in Europe. The very things we call for the so-called Black community to do today to help uplift ourselves out of the unsavory conditions we are in, are found in the Bible. Of course we are not meant to do these things without a spiritual connection to our Power (The Most High, YAH and our Messiah Yahshua). But, if you want to keep thinking we just need to accept our "reality" (present condition), and throw out the Bible, you are free to do so. Perhaps, someone else will use this vital information the way it is meant to be used.
