  • Does The African Immigrant Have Beef With The American Black Man

The Continental African Immigrants in America, don't F With The Black American Male. Especially the ones in their 30s n up. Continental African Women have an issue with the American Black Man, this is what I came to see. Whenever I interact with Continental African women, they act strange, they behave as if they can't have a conversation with me. On a few occasions, when I spoke with African women they literally turned their backside towards me , out of the blue , midway through our conversation, isn't that rude. Or sometimes when I speak with African women , they act as if they can't understand what I'm saying, even if I'm speaking loud and clear, right in front of their face. The funny thing about it is that I'm Half Nigerian, and when I meet Nigerian women and they end up being from the same part of Nigeria as my family, these Nigerian women still behave funny, even though they know we're apart of the same ethnic group. I even met a Nigerian lady from my father's village and she still ran her nose up at me. It's the men also, I've met African men and they kinda distance themselves from me, but if I was a full blooded African who had an accent and didn't come off as a black American man, these same Africans would worship the ground I walk on. This society has a beef with the American Black Man, and it's everyone who is against us.

Yup. I agree with everything you said. Many of them think that American Black Men are beneath them. Especially, the women. As soon as they hit these shores, they become stuck up. I have had many bad experiences with Africans out here in the Bay Area.

Lol I met a Nigerian woman and comes to find out our last names are very similar....but she was tryna act like our names weren't similar at all, she was acting like it was impossible..hahaha ...many Africans have this strange issue with American black man..it's strange ..in a way she was disowning our similarities , I guess she was tryna disassociate our names because she perceived me as an American black man, she was basically tryna say we are not the same

I've also met a Nigerian guy who was tryna act like it's impossible for me to be a fellow Nigerian ... He assumed I had two black American parents. He was tryna act like there is no way in hell I can be a Nigerian, he didn't wanna believe.

I look Black American and I don't have an accent..so most Africans view me as an American Black man, which I am because of my mother

Don’t ever forget why American blacks are in the current position they are in i.e. who sold our ancestors, by the millions, to the white race.

These Africans are NOT your brothers and sisters and never will be. Also generally speaking they haven’t changed at all over the centuries

I understand where you're coming from. But I can't fully co-sign it because back in college I met brothas from Africa that cared about the plight of our race as a whole. And I have a friend who's parents are from Haiti and he's closest thing I have to a brother. Have you traveled outside of the United States to countries in Asia and Europe? I've been to several countries in Asia and Europe and I can tell you outside of America Black is Black. I bond up real quick with Black people outside of America no matter where they're from. Even if it's a brief conversation we know what time it is. I went to Poland last summer. I met some brothas from Nigeria that went to school out there. When they told me the stories of some prejudice they encountered you tend to posse up real quick. I'm a decendent of American slaves and I've also traveled to a few countries in Africa. Ghana last yr was my most recent trip. Glad I went before COVID-19 hit. It was a heart felt and spiritual experience seeing the slave castles and everything. The root start of ALL our problems. And it was cool to see Black Americans that actually moved there and set up shop. But sadly alot of Ghanaians saw me as a walking dollar and could careless about the reason for my year of return. So again I understand their are Africans that come here and stick their wide noses up at us, lol. I'm like I have a African nose to and we supposed to be sharing the air. But the division is really an American thing that the White collective created to pit us against each other. I urge you to travel outside of America to countries in Europe and Asia. You will forget that whole African vs African American beef.

Most of us who are not really into issues of America we act n see other brothers and sisters who are from diasporas as different but I don’t blame but we those who have rob heads n noses with them see them no different than us! Been a tour guide during year of the return I offer all my services free of charge to all brothers and sisters!

Do you know why they hate us? There are quite a few reasons they hate us but would take a while but here is a couple of reasons They are Hamites the descendants of Ham. We "African Americans" are the descendants of Shem. It was the Hamites that sold us the Shemites to the Europeans or Edomites who are the descendants Japheth. So during the Transatlantic slave trade The Africans/ Hamites sold the Israelites/Shemites to the Europeans/Edomites. So their hatred for us goes all the way back to biblical times. Modern day history does not teach this but it is out there. The good thing about this plandemic is it gives you a lot of time to read and research things you never had time to do.

To my mind it's a combination of many things. The first of which being the history of black Americans and continental Africans going back to slavery. Next it's the current elite in Africa telling their kids not to associate themselves with us when they come here, due to many black Americans being lower class. It's almost like they're racist against us specifically. Next has to do with why they would even immigrate to America in the first place. They love America in a different way than we do. Conservative evangelicals have been going on missions to Africa, brainwashing them, so when they come here they have that right wing conservative mindset when it comes to America and black Americans. Black Americans have an anti-colonial, anti-imperial revolutionary spirit. African immigrants have no need for such a thing, since they come here to assimilate to white American culture. The borderline worship of white people from continental Africans is blatant as well. Black Americans are the only black population who actively resists that type of ****. There are probably several other factors that play into this, but that's what came to mind immediately upon reading this post.

Every Black person deserves to be judged on their own actions not the actions of a group meant to signify them nor the actions of people like them. I don't doubt that there are some African's who do have problems recognizing the unique struggles of Black Americans or just recognizing us as fully human. Being Black and American places us at the bottom, in this racial hierarchy even foreign Africans aren't 'Black-American'. They weren't slaves here thus they aren't our kin, except by ancestry. It's just another reminder of the reality of 'race'; that 'race' does not actually indicate anything other than skin color, and poorly at that.

Luckily it's not everyone, but there are definitely some who have unjustified disdain for Black Americans. So if someone acts paranoid and chooses to standoff until they can identify if the person is family or foe. It's natural for a person to do that anyway, but we're often shamed for trying to protect ourselves in that way.

At my old job, there was a guy from Nigeria who intentionally tried to get me fired. There was no reason for it, I wasn't rude to him, I spoke and he never spoke to me. It was like that from the day he started, so I kept it moving after the second time. One thing I did was add a daily log to my paperwork at the end of the day based on various occurrences, including the things he did. He always talked about how his people have the best work ethic, that's why they get ahead quicker than "hood dwellers" when they come here. Another unnecessary and offensive remark to Black Americans. I knew who he was referring to because he clarified for his friend. I let him run his mouth because it was going to catch up with him.

The best friend he made at work had a disagreement with him and got him fired. They used my log to ultimately fire them both without any of us knowing because after they got into it over a missing file, management had to check all of the files so they saw my logs. He approached me in the breakroom like it was us against them because he was given his pink slip. I just ate my food and said nothing until he left.
