  • The feelings of a black mans identity crisis

Aba and Preach created a documentary about growing up black in Montreal Canada. The experience with the school system, bullying, depression and society norms effects Preach greatly growing up black. His background is from Haiti, later on in his adult life he was able to reconnect with his family. During this time he reconnected with not only his heritage but also having that connection was his lost black identity. The idea of an identity crisis when it comes to your immigrant parents having children being raised in another country has always been a struggle. Please take your time and watch the video when you have the chance. Thank you.

Black male children aren't able to fit in. Even Black women don't accept Black masculinity. Feminism trapped them in a fight against men who didn't have any power.
